A nice park just off 101, could be a good spot for viewing the redwoods and southern Oregon. We spent one night: we have a 43' MH and had to unhook. Asked for an end site and was given a 'prime site' for the regular pull-through rate; the only difference was that the prime sites were on the ends of the rows and had additional outdoor furniture (picnic table plus loungers and round plastic dining table with chairs). Nice touch, but unfortunately it came across looking cluttered as the sites were narrow. Once we moved all the excess out of the way, it was ok. Water pressure seemed to be a little weak, cable TV was fuzzy. Only spent one night then moved on.

Typical KOA with tons of activities for kids and lots of them around. Park smelled like a barnyard most times due to the 'petting zoo' that was near the office. Sites heavily treed; we had site number 180 (most sites in that row can accommodate larger RVs). Used this park as a base for San Francisco and Napa. Would not have stayed here except there is not much in the area for larger MHs (we have 43' with a tow). Was comforted to find other similar MHs here when we were, also. Can't comment on facilities as we do not use them. Park was quiet at night, but had to keep MH closed up due to the campfires everywhere.

Nice, tidy park off the interstate. Spent one night while waiting for someone to arrive at the airport. Landscaped nicely. Not many kids (non-weekend). Easy to get to, easy to get in/out with 43' MH and tow; no need to unhook unless necessary.

Spent 3 nights here in a 43' MH. Had no problems for big rigs although would definitely advise arriving in the daytime and unhooking before parking. Site (F28) was gravel and sloped down in the front: was not a problem, just parked the tow in front rather than rear. The views were excellent. Pool area was great, but did not use. Cannot comment on restrooms/laundry as did not use. Excellent place for a Glacier east side base: minutes from GTTS (Going to the Sun) Road and St. Mary's Lake and Visitor center. Not far from the Many Glacier area and a great hiking and boat tour. Park was mostly empty when we were here. It closes on 9/30 for the season.

This park was in the big-rigs book and I am not sure why. We had a last minute reservation: the park said big RVs not a problem. Took 20 minutes to get there from 101, through a downtown area then a series of winding, narrow roads. Arrived to a dirty dustbowl on the ocean where we were (in our 43' MH) by far, the biggest thing in the park. Mostly travel trailers, tents and smaller Class Cs. Pulled through our site, which was no where near long enough to accomodate both MH and tow, went around the loop, and back to the office. Not our thing, I guess.

A great RV park with stunning views. Mostly Class A rigs: and definitely big rig compatible. Some slight water pressure issues I thought, but the park was nearly full when we were here (mid week). Would definitely use it again, but wish the price were a little lower. If staying in the sites along the outer edges (road and north/south sides) beware: lots of road noise from 101 all night. On the south edge, the park butts up to a residential area where it seemed everyone had a dog: so when you came or went anywhere near that area the 'dog alarms' went off all the time. Could be very annoying, I would imagine. We have ocean view: couldn't have been better (well it could have, but ocean front wasn't available). Enjoy this park and the area!

Perfect overnight spot: easy to negotiate a 43' MH with tow vehicle and no unhooking. Asked for pull-through spot and was given 411 A-B for same rate (A and B would be two separate spots otherwise). Had some road noise, but easily overlooked when running a fan. No reservations on a weekday and we arrived just at sundown, but park filled up soon after. Would definitely use as alternative to Wal-Mart (none around).

A nice place for an overnight stop: we spent two while touring the coast and beaches. Spent time in the casino, got comped for our overnight stays and breakfast to boot. Quiet: located by train tracks, but no trains. Pull throughs can accommodate larger RVs if you unhook. Restrooms/showers were clean and tidy; and there's a shuttle to the casino running all the time .

Was skeptical about this place but it turned out to be a great location to tour the redwoods when we could not get into Winchester Bay or Brookings Harbor. Pull through sites can accommodate without unhooking; we chose a back-in waterfront site which worked out well, but had to park the car next to us. The road to the park is about 1 1/2 miles up a winding roadway, and the entrance to the park is down a steep, narrow road which levels off at the bottom. We have a 43' MH with an SUV tow and did not have any problems. One side of the park seemed to be long term/trailer parking, the other transients. Not much to do, but the view was nice and the park quiet. Restrooms were super clean; they charge for showers (.25/8 minutes) in the bath house. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Unfortunately, no fishing allowed when we were here: we were disappointed. Maybe next time.

This park has all the makings of an outstanding resort once completed, except for one thing. The owners have forgotten the golden rule: location, location, location. This park sits immediately adjacent to an active (24/7, once or twice an hour) train track that is used by freight and commuter trains. It's not the rumbling that gets you as they go by, but the whistle: sometimes three or four times for each train. Highly annoying. Perhaps with a lot of other RV's to buffer the noise, it would not be as bad. When we were here, we practically had the place to ourselves. The park is still a work in progress, but has been done up quite nicely: landscaped, nice size sites, minimal road noise even though it edges I-5, with tons to do/see. I could rate higher if not for the trains, over and over again. But hey, that may be ok with some folks, just not me.

It is a great campground near many activities and attractions in the Laurel Highlands. We needed someplace to stay last minute - was told we could be accommodate in our 43' Motor Home. NOT! This campground is not set up to accommodate larger RV's without doing some major maneuvering to get in and out. The employees are nice, at check in we were escorted to our site, nice again. However, the large sites in the somewhat open area (on the hill) are not laid out well at all if trying to negotiate in a big rig. It took us a couple times backing up and wiggling around to get settled. Once in, could not level with our air jacks. We were BY FAR the biggest thing in the park; even the owner's (son?) said we were the biggest he had seen there - not very comforting. On the bright side - place is a mecca for families with tons of activities and things going on without ever having to leave the CG. Pools, slides, hourly activities, games, arts and crafts - you name it, they did it. If we had been with small children it would have been perfect! I can highly recommend for that - just not with a big RV :) Going out of the campground we had to go the way we came in - there was no way to make the turns required to go out the actual exit. Luckily, we did not meet an other campers on the way in, so it was all good. I loved this place just for the excitement and energy it had...but not for a larger RV. Oh...and one note about the bridge discussed in a previous post...yes, there is definately a bridge you must cross just before the campground. The sign clearly is marked 12' 7" - we had called ahead to discuss with the CG and they said no problems. We went through actually with me ahead in the tow watching DH in the RV to make sure it was ok as he (very slowly) made his was across. There were no problems at all - we need 13' 3" clearance - we had probably 6 - 8" to spare. (Good thing, because I can't imagine how we would have gotten turned around on that road!). Overall, great park, great location, but busy busy busy and not for the larger RV's unless you want to work at it.

Stayed here for a few nights in order to go to Hershey area (no CG available at the last minute in Hershey) but it is not close to Hershey (1 hr+ with summer traffic). CG was well maintained, beautiful view, very quiet. Nothing for children except two swings, but we were traveling without children anyway. Some sites fully wooded, others open on a terraced hillside that looked out over Amish country. Narrow, windy roads to get to CG with some tight turns; that being said, we were in a 43' MH and made out fine - had to wait for oncoming traffic to make a turn once, but that was all. Worst part was getting out of the CG - big boulders marking driveway/roadway. Not very ideal for a large MH... Owners on site - friendly, but insistent/strict on following the rules. Understandable to us as we are business owners ourselves and it is your neck on the line if something goes wrong. They may have taken it to the extreme in some cases, but still, they were helpful and kind to us\, and their park - their rules. Knew that going into it by reading other reviews. We had to leave early (1 day) - forfeited that money rather than get into a battle I would not win b/c the rules obviously stated 'no refunds'. Oh well... Would stay again if wanting to be in the Lancaster area.

I spoke several times with the owners and they were always very pleasant and helpful. However, this campground is not big rig accessible by any means. There are two narrow, no shoulder, rutted, winding roads you must traverse in order to get to the campground - each road is approximately 1 mile. In addition, there are low hanging branches and a couple very tight turns you must negotiate while on these roads. We arrived mid-day in the middle of the week and there was alot of traffic on the roads leading to the campground; a state park/beach area was just down the road from the campground. The location for the big rigs is indeed at the bottom of the hill, sites are terraced (I was told this area used to be a trailer park) up the hill. The rest of the campground is made for (very)small towables and tent camping. It is rustic and in a natural setting; finding a place to yourself should not be hard. This is probably a great place for tent camping and small rvs; but because of the road conditions and hilly terrain, large RVs should beware. Oh yeah...and the mosquitos near the road are brutal! Not the parks' fault, but worth mentioning just the same.

Nice place with what seemed to be many nice amenities for families. Many kids around. Lots of sites were those seasonal, house types. We stopped here because we were too late in the evening to get to our destination and arrived just before dark. I chose this park out of a Woodall's book, contacted their 800 number to confirm site availability and size and was assured 'big rig' accessibility; found out later that the 800 number was not even located in the same state and the operator was reading from a handout. The biggest problem with this park was the hairpin turn to get in - you have to make what basically amounts to a 180 degree turn. We made the mistake of attempting this with the tow vehicle still attached and ended up blocking the entire entrance/exit when the RV/tow combo could not make the turn (which was also on a hill). Had to unhook, back up the car, back up the motorhome and go again. After that it was smooth sailing but we certainly caused quite a commotion getting to that point. I believe we were the evening's entertainment and I had several people comment on how 'large' our motorhome was, and that they didn't see anything like that very often. The road leading to the park should have been our first warning sign - we had to dodge some low hanging branches (our motorhome is 13+ ft tall). Again, for a smaller rig (less than 40') I think this would probably have been a great stop. Next time I will just do my homework a little better; we chalked this up to a learning experience. :)

Nice, quiet park - during the day. Some areas a little 'junked up' and unkempt, but can be overlooked. At night, however, the lounge is a popular local spot with loud music and lots of patrons leaving at closing time (1-2AM). We camped here in a 40+ foot motorhome - not easily accessible as a pull through site, but easy enough to back in as the pull-through sites were located adjacent to parking lot (for lounge). Would not recommend any other sites for big rigs due to road conditions in park (large 'dip' in road - sure to be a tail dragger for a large motorhome). For other vehicles, park is great with some sites having lovely view right on river. Seemed like a lot of seasonal campers. Lots of kids. Gravel/dirt roads - might be problems after heavy rains. Would probably not stay here again only because of lack of big rig accessibility.

Great park for 'big rigs' although I was a little uncertain on the ride in, mostly because it was already dark and the road is heavily wooded. It was such a pleasant surprise to wake up and look out on the river and watch the tugboats and barges go by. We stayed here while visiting in the Memphis area. Had a waterfront site and it was a perfect location and view. Did not use any of the facilites on site, so can't comment on those. Sites are roomy with plenty of parking for tow vehicle. Added bonus - there is an ice cream truck that comes through at night! I think the adults enjoyed chasing it down more than the kids did!
